Receiving the message in September from Kiana turned out to be the beginnings of a beautiful friendship! Kiana reached out to me making it clear that the reason she wanted to hire me was because she could tell that my faith was paramount to the way I lived my life. And that sentiment was reflected in my photography.
And that is what she truly wanted...
Because of the distance, we initially struggled with where we would like to take their engagement photos. Damien living overseas meant that we had a limited amount of time to take the photos... but where.
Exploring her social media page, I found out they got engaged at Niagra Falls. And who wouldn't want to take photos one of the world's most incredible natural wonders. So after a brief discussion, we agreed on a sunrise session at the falls! And as you can tell from the photos, it turned out better than we could have imagined!
Because of my recent travels to Niagara Falls, I knew there was a beautiful area of gardens on the Canadian side. So we decided to explore that area with its beautiful gardens and cool architecture. Tucked away behind the more public areas was a 'secret garden'. Of course, I call it that because it was next door neighbors with the Secret Garden Cafe where we ended up having breakfast!
Damien and Kiana are such an incredible, generous and genuine couple. I am truly honored that they would even consider me taking their photos, let alone actually hiring me to do so!
